Last night my girls and I had the pleasure of enjoying our second Cirque Eloize show, Cirkopolis*, at Foxwoods. There is nothing quite so awe-inducing as the acrobatic magic of the Cirque performers. My two girls and I may have sat through the entire show wide eyed and breath held. We all walked out of the theater chatting away about our favorite parts. Just like the first Cirque Eloize show I attended in 2015, we left inspired and full of wonder. If you ever have the opportunity to catch a Cirque Eloize’s Cirkopolis show, run to see it.
The only downer to catching an evening show is I had to work the next day so it was a mad dash to get back home. This included a couple of disappointed kids who wanted nothing more than to check out the new Sugar Factory on our way out of the Fox Theater. I promised we’d return this week during their April vacation. They’re excited to get to try out Sugar Factory and I’m excited to be able to squeeze in spring/summer wardrobe shopping at the Tanger Outlets along with some fun activities. After we pick up enough shorts and capris to last us through summer, we’ll be checking out all the Kids Week activities Foxwoods has lined up. From specials at a variety of restaurants to face painting and free movies (ahem, Moana, anyone?), I’m certain no one will complain about shopping with so much entertainment packed into our day.
If you’ve got kids home this week, I say it’s time for a road trip!
*I was given free tickets to the show. All opinions here are my own.
